Technical Sales Executive. Merlin Power is a leading supplier of electrical power products and systems to the marine, specialist vehicle and defence industries. With over 35 years in business, our systems have been fitted to everything from Formula 1 Truck to front-line Main Battle Tanks and surveillance vehicles to yachts. Your main focus will be managing and growing existing accounts, developing new accounts and opportunities presented by internal prospectors. With existing accounts you will look to increase sales through close account management to ensure you are aware of all relevant opportunities that arise. Offering full support on current and future sales, regular account calls and visits are crucial to maintain and grow customers. Ensuring the key contacts are fully aware of what we can offer, understanding and offering solutions to their pressure points and solving any problems that arise is critical. With new accounts and opportunities, the discovery process will deliver targets that are already qualified. From this stage you will take over and present capability and relevant product presentations with the goal of understanding how you can best support the customer and win their business. From these initial meetings you will be looking to receive RFQ, RFI, visit requests etc… It is crucial that these requests are followed up quickly and thoroughly. You will need to be well-presented, organised and planned. Experience and knowledge of power systems and products are essential as our customers will expect you to be able to assist with their technical questions. Training on Merlin Equipment’s products will be given but embracing the technical advantages of our products with enthusiasm is essential. Honesty, attention to detail and discipline to return calls and enquiries methodically is also required.
