We are specialists in Obstetric and Gynae scans and specialist blood tests at Window to the Womb Exeter. We perform diagnostic scans on pre-menopausal ladies and pregnant ladies. We cover fertility and women's health scans. During pregnancy, we scan from 6 weeks to birth. Our pregnancy scans identify the baby's gender, capturing 4D images, growth scans and medical scans. We are a locally owned clinic, part of the bigger Window to the Womb franchise. This creates a great support structure for both our staff and customers.
We are looking for someone who can primarily work one day on weekends. (please see opening hours below)
This is for an immediate start!
We are seeking a special person to join our scan assistant team. This person must communicate confidently with staff, patients, and their families. They need to be professional and understanding of the importance of what we do. Show compassion and be able to offer a mature and sensitive approach to manage difficult conversations when required. This position will support the team and the registered clinic manager.
Business Opening hours:
Tuesday: 11-7
Wednesday: 6-9
Thursday: 2-9
Friday: 2:45-8
Saturday 10-6
Sunday 10-6
We are based in Exeter but have families visiting from all over Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. Our opening hours allow our mums to have the flexibility to come with family. Sometimes, our hours may vary. So, the right candidate must be flexible. However, the rota is completed 6 weeks in advance, and you will work to a primarily regular shift pattern. The rota is online via an app, which allows staff to swap shifts once this has been published.
Due to the nature of the business, all employees are on 0-hour contracts.
There is also the opportunity to help answer the clinic phones when we are closed. A mobile phone and access to the booking system will be provided.
Our window-to-the-womb scan assistants provide the vital link between the sonographer and the family, ensuring that from the moment the family arrives, their experience is optimised and the relationship with the customer is fully developed. In the position of relief senior scan assistant, you will need to set a strong example in being able to do this.
The clinic has three roles: Reception, the scan room, and the print room. You will be required to cover all three positions confidently and be able to support new staff in these areas.
Training is provided, but relevant background experience is desirable.
Due to our city centre location, we cannot provide staff parking.
Please include a cover letter stating:
1. The shifts you can work (please see hours above)
2. Any existing commitments, such as other employment and childcare etc.
3. Why do you feel suitable for the position?
Please note any application without a cover letter will not be considered.
