Senior Works Manager
KierBAM are a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall. We are currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth and we are seeking an experienced Senior Works Manager.
Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 45 hours per week
Responsibilities
As a Senior Works Manager, you'll be working within the Nuclear Major Projects team, supporting them in the delivery of a bespoke or part of a package of work on a nuclear licensed site .
Your day to day as a Senior Works Manager will include:
- Ensuring site works are planned, coordinated, and undertaken in a safe, timely and cost-efficient manner in accordance with the relevant project plans, design drawings, specification, and the programme.
- Ensuring construction operations and materials comply with project requirements.
- Controlling the short and medium-term programmes to ensure timely and economical completion.
- Liaising with the Construction Manager and delivery teams regarding construction activities.
- Supporting the General Foreman to work safely in accordance with assessed construction risks and adherence with the control measures defined in Work Package Plans and Task Briefs.
- Providing necessary support to enable the project environmental risks, objectives and targets are met.
What are we looking for?
This role of Works Manager is great for you if:
- HNC (Construction related) or Level 6 NVQ Construction Site Management.
- Gold Supervisors or Black Managers Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
- Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
