Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Floor Leader to oversee the daily operations of our dining area. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role is vital in ensuring that our restaurant runs smoothly, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality while fostering a positive environment for both staff and guests. The ideal candidate will have great customer service skills and will have great communication skills.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the restaurant floor staff.
- Ensure that all hygiene standards are strictly adhered to through good practice and working with the floor team
- Assist in training new employees on best practices in cleaning of the restaurant tables and help deal with any customer complaints
- Manage the flow of service during peak hours to make sure the team are clearing tables quickly and efficiently, and filling the cutlery and condiments, while giving great customer service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff if there are customer complaints that need to be escalated, or food replaced
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, aiming for resolution that enhances guest satisfaction.
- Maintain an organised dining area, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for service at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a restaurant or hotel environment is highly desirable but not essential
- Strong leadership skills and be able to lead by example
- Proven ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with customers and staff alike.
