Job Title: Kitchen Porter (KP)/ Runner

Job Summary:
As a Kitchen Porter (KP) at The Duck and Bean, you will play a vital role in supporting the team by ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency in the kitchen & bar area. You will contribute to maintaining the high standards of food preparation and service in our cafe.
Hours: 3/4 Saturdays in a month with potential for more hours over holidays and busy periods
Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen & bar area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Support the kitchen team in receiving and storing deliveries.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with the FOH staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels and notifying management of any shortages.
Requirements:
- No previous experience needed, full training provided
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings.
