The Kents is currently under-going a refurb and will soon be opening with a brand new restaurant and kitchen equipment!
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Help with menu planning, including the development of new recipes and seasonal offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Excellent culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
