Full time (35hrs/wk), although part time (min. 28hrs/wk) will be considered for the right person

About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and pro-active individual with a strong background in public relations, community fundraising or a similar field to continue the excellent work of the previous post holder in building the public profile of St Petrock’s and connecting with the local community, who make all our work possible. You will play a key role in speaking up on behalf of our clients, increasing public understanding of issues related to homelessness, and securing the financial support needed to enable our work to continue and grow.
You will be creative, conscientious and energetic, and will have the superb interpersonal and communication skills needed to engage effectively with a wide range of people using a range of media (TV and press, online and printed news outlets, our website and social media, as well as in person). You will have the strong project and event management skills to lead on major fundraising campaigns and events such as our annual Christmas fundraising video campaign and the Big Night Out sponsored sleepout, along with the imagination and drive to develop further public fundraising events.
To ensure we recruit the best possible person for this key role, there is some flexibility on the hours to be worked. However, given the nature of the role, it is essential that you are able to attend meetings and events outside normal working hours in order to share about the work of St Petrock’s as needed.
You will be primarily based at the St Petrock’s centre office in central Exeter, with the opportunity for some home-working.
