An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced People Advisor to join Barnardo's People Team, supporting the Children's Services North region.
The North region covers a large geographical area with the candidate ideally being situated in or around Lancashire/Cumbria. The role will primarily be working from home however with regular travel required to services within the area as well as to offices in Manchester and Leeds.
Due to the nature of the role the ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving licence with access to their own vehicle.
Starting Salary: £32,168.50-£34,466.25
In this role you will work closely with the People Business Partner to provide HR support in a varied generalist role, and you will be responsible for providing proactive, professional, and business focused HR support to our operational leaders and managers. On a day-to-day basis you will provide;
- Employee relations casework advice and guidance; including supporting disciplinary, grievance, performance management processes
- Sickness absence management guidance
- Change management, including TUPE and supporting with the bid process
- Delivery of HR related training to managers
- Support to undertake people projects that are aligned to Barnardo's strategic priorities
You will have previous experience in a similar role and / or a proven track record of operational HR and sound knowledge and understanding of UK employment law. You will have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, be solution focused and be able to foster strong and collaborative working relationships at all levels.
