Your Main Duties: PIP Functional Assessor Duties:
- Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face consultations with individuals claiming PIP benefits.
- All appointments are scheduled for you, so you won’t have to worry about admin!
- Work with individuals who may have complex conditions, including physical, mental health, cognitive, and sensory impairments.
- Complete in-depth medical assessments to evaluate the impact of their disability or condition.
- Write evidence-based reports using a specialized IT system to support benefit claims.
WCA Functional Assessor Duties:
- Carry out structured Work Capability Assessments (WCA) via telephone, video, or face-to-face.
- Assess how health conditions impact claimants' abilities to carry out work-related tasks.
- Evaluate the challenges of physical impairments, cognitive difficulties, and mental health conditions in relation to employment.
- Prepare detailed, evidence-based reports to help the DWP make informed decisions.
What We Need From You:
- Registered Nurse RMN.RNLD, RN (Adult), (Adult) Physiotherapist, (Adult) Occupational Therapist, or Paramedic with clinical experience in adult healthcare settings.
- Current HCPC/NMC registration.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with individuals empathetically and professionally.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and manage a caseload effectively.
- A minimum of 1-year post-qualification experience in a healthcare setting.
