If you answer yes to all of the above, then we would like to hear from you.We’ve an exciting opportunity for an experienced Seamstress to join our amazing manufacturing team. You’ll be responsible for manufacturing high quality textile products for the bedding industry, this will include but not limited to mattress pads, mattress protectors and piping.Our ideal candidate will have had experience of using industrial sewing machines, over lockers and fabric cutting machinery. You’ll have accurate sewing skills and excellent attention to detail and able to work as part of a team.The types of machines we use are:
• Lockstitch Machines – Used for standard seams and stitching.• Overlock Machines – For securing fabric edges and preventing fraying.• Walking Foot Machines – Used for thick or layered materials, including quilted or padded protectors.• Elastic Insertion Machines – Specialized for attaching elastic bands to fitted protectors.
Training will be given on site specific equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Adjusting machine settings to ensure accurate stitching, fabric tension, and alignment.
- Working with various fabrics, including, quilted fabrics, and elasticated components.
- Ensuring all products meet quality standards, including seam durability and overall finish.
- Performing basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning and replacing needles and thread.
- Collaborating with production teams to meet order deadlines and quality control.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a commercial environment, e.g. manufacturing, stores or requiring use of complex skills and variety of processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of quality standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic skills Health & Safety requirements and regulations.
- NVQ 2 or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
- Commitment to gaining an appropriate qualification and undertake necessary training
