Dog walker needed!
I am looking for an additional walker to join my dog walking business. I currently provide a premium service for my customers, giving their dogs a stimulating experience, returning their dogs happy, calm, clean and relaxed. I care about animal welfare and ensure they are well looked after in my care, I am looking for a like-minded person to join my team.
Part- time with potential to become full- time.
SOME MONDAYS, EVERY FRIDAY AND HOLIDAY COVER ONLY WITH PROGRESSION TO FULL TIME IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS- MUST BE FLEXIBLE FOR SHORT NOTICE TO WORK
Exeter area, Dog safe van provided, Fuel provided.
£11.45ph
Criteria:
-Responsible, loyal and hardworking
-Full clean driving license, Safe and confident driver
-Be available to work Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
-Willing to be DBS checked
-Happy to work in all weather conditions
Responsibilities:
- Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walks
- Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or illness and report any concerns to the owner
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene during walks, including picking up after dogs
- Provide basic obedience training and reinforce good behavior during walks
Experience:
- Must love dogs and have experience working with dogs
- Strong customer service skills to interact with dog owners and address any concerns or questions
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments, including those that may be anxious or reactive, up to 6 dogs at a time.
- Knowledge of basic animal care and first aid procedures
- Physical stamina and ability to handle heavy lifting, as some dogs may require assistance or support
-Must be 21 or over for insurance purposes
This is a self- employed role, so you will need to be set up and able to provide invoices on a weekly basis.
