Our client is a leading, blue-chip manufacturing business based in Exeter recognised for delivering critical components globally and due to ongoing growth of the business they are recruiting now for a Plant Project Engineer to join the team. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring all buildings, services and manufacturing equipment are available and maintained to support existing and upcoming demands.
Plant Project Engineer Requirements needed for this position:
- HNC/HND/BEng in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar field
- 3+ years’ experience working in a technical engineering environment
- Ability to identify and solve to root cause, repetitive reliability problems and write maintenance procedures
- Ability to collect and analyse overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) on critical equipment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Key Duties of Plant Project Engineer
- Creating and maintaining technical files for all equipment
- Developing and implementing reliability excellence on critical equipment
- Driving OEE, reducing machine downtime and reoccurring breakdown faults
- Highlighting key activities to support cost reduction and methods improvement
- Supervising external sub-contractors, ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to
- Managing key plant engineering projects such as equipment purchase, machine installation and machine/shop floor layout moves
