Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of the pig farm. This role requires physical stamina, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Farm Worker will engage in various agricultural activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for animals and ensuring feeding/drinking systems are working.
- Assist with the bedding up of livestock.
- Loading/unloading of animals onto livestock vehicles.
- Power washing of pig buildings prior to restocking.
- Assist with the grading of livestock into their correct group sizes.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks associated with farm operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas and equipment.
- Assist with the upkeep of the farm to ensure a clean and tidy environment.
Skills
- You must be hard working and able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Telehandler experience preferred but not essential as training can be given.
- Most have a driving licence.
- Understanding of animal care practices is beneficial but not essential as training will be given.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the day.
- Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
