Supported Lodgings Lead Worker (Job Ref 24-79)
Salary - £23,088 per annum pro rata
Hours – Two days per week
Based in Exeter.
Permanent Contract
Supported Lodgings is an OFSTED regulated initiative run by the charity Young Devon. It provides Young People aged 16 and over with the opportunity to live in a safe and supportive home environment, with an individual or family, often referred to as “Hosts”. Placed Young People receive support from Host families, the local authority, and staff. This includes both practical guidance and emotional encouragement to help them prepare for their future.
This role, based in Exeter, will require the applicant to use their own transport to travel to and from regular meetings with the Young People. The meetings will ensure they are receiving the necessary practical and emotional support to progress toward securing a positive move on with the skills needed for further independent accommodation. This will be achieved by liaising with partner agencies and the Supported Lodgings staff.
We require someone who is enthusiastic and committed to improving the life chances of young people and improving their personal and skills development.
