Our UK built, brushed electric permanent magnet DC motors is a proven highly efficient solution offering a longer life, greater torque, power output, reliability and and cost-efficiency than most of the current brushless motor alternatives.
The Lynch Motor can be used in a variety of vehicles and applications including marine, cars, industrial machinery, robotics and even special effects.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support engineering projects by assisting with , manufacturing , analysis, installation and testing tasks. This role is perfect for individuals with an interest in engineering/mechanical/electronic work looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced engineering environment while contributing to innovative solutions. Full training would be given.
Factory is based at Dunkeswell, Honiton so own transport would be needed. Working hours 4 days a week, Monday - Thursday 07.00 - 17.00
Duties
- Understanding all processing and manufacture of our electric motors.
- Working on DC, low voltage solutions for a range of applications. Ultra safe low voltage directive.
- Collaborate with engineers to conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues in existing designs or processes.
- Commissioning and installation of electric drive propulsion systems.
- Participate in testing and validation of prototypes, documenting results and providing feedback for improvements.
- Engage in continuous learning opportunities to enhance mechanical knowledge and technical skills.
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering (Electrical, electronics or mechanical)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics/wiring diagrams accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills within the engineering field.
- UK full driving licence.
- Willing to travel.
