Purpose of job

Provide outstanding service to every customer by delivering fresh fish and seafood into the clients’ premises in a timely manner; ensuring the Wright Brothers exceptional quality is maintained and in accordance with food standards legislation. Be a professional and courteous road user whilst ensuring legal compliance under EU driving and working time directive regulations.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Safe and on time transit of goods from our Paignton (Devon) depot to customer premises (stipulated arrival times must always be adhered to and will reflect times each route is finalised with all products loaded onto pallets)
Deliver exemplary Customer Service - enter premises in the correct manner and if unsure always check before unloading and delivering goods; including wiping clean any delivery boxes and always ensuring no spillages
Well presented at all times with a neat and tidy uniform; including steel toe capped boots and high visibility vest as required
Responsible for ensuring all product is checked and once accuracy is satisfied complete confirmation sheet which is to be signed and given to the office so invoices can be raised.
All invoices to be separated and submitted in the correct way.
Ensure you meet H&S legislation within your daily tasks
On average 20-30 stops a day depending on volume and location
Starting at 01:00 finishing in and around 10:00 dependant on drops and traffic. Flexible with hours and readily off sets working week according to peaks and troughs
Vehicle cleanliness and tidiness both internal and external
Carry out daily vehicle checks accurately and follow correct defect procedures
Operate the vehicle in a safe, legal and economical manner at all times, ensuring that it is well maintained and that vehicle ‘off site’ security measures are always adhered to
Keep track of working hours each week and offset any additional hours worked with any underworked hours from previous weeks prior to submitting an overtime claim

Key Skills and Experience

Held Driving Licence for at least 1 Year
No more than 3 points, NO DR10’s No CD10’s, No IN10’s
Relevant experience in a similar role desirable
Proven track record in customer service
Good communication skills
Flexible
Team Player
