Job description

We are working with a well respected marine engineering contractor on an exciting refit project that has a 3 yr timescale.

We are looking to grow the team throughout 2025 to a total of 15 welders.

Our successful applicants will be required to complete the following tests before proceeding onto the projects. This involves a fully paid week in the test bay.

12mm Multi-pass Fillet Vertical Up position tests (BS-EN ISO 9606-1)
12mm Butt Vertical Up position tests (BS-EN ISO 9606-1)

Qualifications Required

NVQ Level 3 or Apprenticeship qualified and experience of FCAW welding. Any marine/ship repair experience would be highly advantageous.

Security Clearances requires

Full SC Clearence

Advanced DBS

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all welding work meets strict safety and quality standards
Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow
Adhere to detailed project timelines and tasks
Understanding of marine welding standards and procedures
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Rates/Shifts: Umbrella rates (PAYE also available):

Day Shift - £34.50/h
Back Shift - £42/h
Sunday and Weekday Night Shift - £49/h
Sunday Back/Night Shift - £46/h
Hours - 50 per week (More hours available)
Contract length - 2-3 years

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: £34.00-£49.00 per hour
