To perform energy modelling and provide sustainability consulting on projects across multiple sectors, with the goal of enhancing building energy efficiency and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview:
The IES Modeller will provide data-driven energy modelling and sustainability insights across diverse projects, working alongside architects, engineers, and project teams to optimize building performance and ensure compliance with UK environmental standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Energy Modelling: Conduct detailed energy modelling using IES (Integrated Environmental Solutions) software to assess and optimize building performance.
Collaborative Integration: Partner with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate energy-efficient design strategies in building projects.
Sustainability Consulting: Provide expert guidance on achieving energy efficiency targets and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare clear reports on modelling results and offer actionable recommendations for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK energy regulations, including Part L, Part F, and Part O, and other sustainability certifications.
Client Guidance: Offer advice on navigating energy legislation and understanding compliance requirements.
Ongoing Learning: Stay informed on the latest sustainability and energy modelling advancements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Role

This role involves conducting energy modelling for various building projects, supporting sustainable design solutions, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with IES software and energy modelling.
Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of UK energy regulations, including Approved Documents Part L, Part F, and Part O.
Analytical and Reporting Skills: Ability to interpret modelling results and provide actionable recommendations.
Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with architects, engineers, and project teams.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with sustainability consulting experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Experience with energy modelling and sustainability consulting, ideally with expertise in IES software.
Skills and Proficiencies: Strong analytical skills, client advisory capabilities, and up-to-date knowledge of sustainability best practices.
