We are looking for a doggy daycare assistant at Tiverton Dog Centre. Must have proven experience working professionally with dogs and excellent customer service.

Experience working with dogs is essential. This can be dog walking, training, grooming, kennel assistant, etc. *Please note that owning a dog does not count as professional experience.* During the interview we will be asking thorough questions regarding dogs behaviour and dogs body language. So all applicants must have a thorough understanding of these. Must have an understanding of breeds and their characteristic. Must be confident with all breeds, sizes, ages and behaviour types of dogs.

We see around 50 dogs a day, though groups are split, it is essential that the right candidate must be comfortable with multiple numbers of dogs at one time.

30-35 hour contract between Monday - Friday. Hours will be discussed with potential candidates.

Any successful candidates will have to have a paid work trial where suitability will be assessed.

Overtime available for the right person if wanted.

Job responsibilities include:

Supervising and monitoring groups of dogs to ensure all dogs are happy and comfortable.

Looking after the dogs throughout the day, this includes giving lunches, ensuring each dog has ample mental and physical stimulation.

Recognising dog body language and acting accordingly to maintain a calm and relaxed environment for all dogs.

General animal husbandry.

Photographing and videoing dogs to update their owners throughout the day.

After a probationary period the right candidates will also be meeting customers when dropping off/collecting their dogs. Excellent customer service is a must.
