Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate self employed Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with the ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff effectively. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
Assist in the training of new staff members on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Help resolve any issues that arise during service, maintaining a calm and professional demeanour.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance

Pay: £15.00-£19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
