Job Overview:

The Hall is seeking an energetic and creative Operations and Events Manager with a passion for sales and general management. The ideal candidate will not only oversee daily operations but also take a leading role in developing and executing a dynamic, self-generated events calendar that drives business growth. This role requires a proactive leader with strong business acumen, capable of managing P&L responsibilities, payroll, and shift management, while also creating unique, high-impact events that enhance customer engagement and generate revenue. A focus on innovation, creativity, and maximising customer experiences is key to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. P&L Responsibility:

Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve financial targets and maximise profitability.
Analyse financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-control measures.
Monitor expenses, revenue, and budget adherence to ensure financial objectives are met.

2. Payroll and Shift Management:

Oversee the staffing process, including recruitment, training, and scheduling.
Implement effective shift management strategies to optimise labour efficiency and maintain excellent customer service.

3. Gross Profit Management:

Implement pricing strategies to maximise gross profit margins while remaining competitive in the market.
Monitor inventory levels, control costs, and implement effective stock management procedures.
Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms to enhance profitability.

4. Operational Leadership:

Provide hands-on leadership in all aspects of daily operations, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability among staff members.
Address operational challenges promptly and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

5. Customer Service Excellence:

Uphold and enhance The Halls reputation for exceptional customer service.
Regularly interact with guests, gather feedback, and implement improvements to meet or exceed customer expectations.

6. Event Management & Sales

To create a profitable calendar of own generated events, maximising on quieter and shoulder periods in the calendar.
To work with owners to ensure that the outward bound marketing is aligned with the availability calendar and planned own generated events.
