Part Time Credit Controller

Shelley Ashman International Shipping Ltd is an equine bloodstock shipping agency assisting their clients in the movement of horses worldwide. We are a thriving bloodstock shipping business based on the outskirts of Tiverton with very easy access from the M5. We are a small friendly team with a good sense of humour looking for an individual to take on the Credit Control side of our accounts.

Th role entails the following responsibilities:

· Invoicing out a large quantity of shipments undertaken by the company.

· Ensuring the charges received from suppliers are correct by cross referencing with the shipment files.

· Querying any invoice abnormalities with suppliers and sourcing credit notes as needed.

· Chasing unpaid invoices and aiding the with the recovery of ‘aged debt’.

· Liaising with clients regarding any invoicing queries.

· Working with clients to help resolve payment issues.

· Liaising with the appropriate authorities in the aid of recovery of aged debt by other means.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Xero and have experience in managing client accounts ensuring the smooth running of monies coming in. Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail as well as the ability to prioritise their own workload are a must. The ability to work as part of a team with the initiative to take on tasks independently are essential. Knowledge of the equine industry would be an advantage but not essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 per week
