As a Lead Design Engineer for this well-established hydraulics manufacturer, you’ll play a key role in leading the design and quality teams, ensuring high standards across hydraulic valves, pumps, and actuators. This hands-on role involves 3D modelling, project management, and process improvements within a state-of-the-art production facility.

Lead Design Engineer Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the design and quality teams to drive technical excellence.
Use SolidWorks and CAD software to design and refine hydraulic valves, pumps, and actuators.
Manage the development and implementation of new hydraulic designs.
Oversee quality standards and ensure continuous improvements in production.
Collaborate with suppliers, production, and engineering teams to enhance product development.
Implement efficiency improvements to streamline manufacturing and assembly processes.

Skills & Experience Required

Strong mechanical design engineering background, with hydraulics experience essential.
Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software.
Knowledge of machining processes, fits & finishes, and castings (desirable).
Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and manage teams.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
