Full Time – 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, and weekend work will be required on a rota basis

Working hours 8:30 am -17:00pm

House of Marbles operates in the toys, games, glass, and giftware markets

Teign Valley Glass was set up in Teignmouth, Devon, England, in 1981 to make specialist handmade marbles for the House of Marbles.

Teign Valley Glass makes a wide selection of beautiful glassware—not just marbles! Our studio shop sells products made using many different techniques.

One of our main aims as a business is to preserve traditional glassmaking by passing them onto different makers so that those skills and techniques don’t get lost over time.

THE Job

We are seeking someone to work in our Glassworks studio who will continue to maintain our high level of customer service to our retail and trade customers.

Based in Bovey Tracey and reporting to the Director of Glass, the primary responsibilities of the role are:

· Ensuring the smooth running of the Glassworks retail shop and online orders.

· Welcoming all shop visitors and customers

· Cleaning and refreshing all front-of-house displays

· Stock replenishment

· Picking and packing orders

· Dealing with all telephone and walk-in enquiries

· Taking commissions for various glassworks services

Candidate Profile

· Experience working in a retail/trade environment

· A flexible approach to duties and tasks

· Work well as part of a team

· The ability to maintain high energy levels whilst working efficiently and productively is essential.

THE SALARY AND BENEFITS

Salary: up to £11.44 per hour
