Manager required to enable a team including adults with additional needs and volunteers

Forde Park Community Project currently provides employment for 25 adults with additional needs in a community café (Our Pavilion) set in a beautiful park in Newton Abbot

Job Summary

To support adults requiring additional help to realise their potential in the workplace.

Devising and maintaining an ongoing programme of goals tailored for each individual

Encourage new volunteers and process their induction

Maintain a rota involving all workers covering 7 days a week.

Ensure a good and consistent customer experience.

Support our deputy manager with running the catering aspect of our business

Attend a 6 weekly trustees meeting and provide a report

Managing Safeguarding, Health and Safety and GDPR

Knowledge and Skills

Evidence of previous management experience in the field of additional needs will be looked on favourably

A catering background would also be of benefit but a willingness to work towards a food hygiene certificate level 3 is essential. Applicant would need to be confident in a kitchen setting for basic food preparation.

A knowledge of legislation, statutory and contractual obligations.

This is a full-time position for 40 hours over 5 days which may include weekend work on occasions. No evening work. Some duties may be undertaken from home. Report directly to the trustees.

Salary is £31200 per annum paid monthly. Automatic enrolment in NEST and statutory holidays and sick pay. Probationary period of 3 months.
