As a Club we are committed to achieving excellence on and off the field whilst maintaining our long-term financial sustainability and putting our supporters and community engagement at the forefront of everything we do.

We are known for developing and maximising the performance of our players however its also important to us that this a focus off the pitch too and staff feel valued and understand their contribution to the success of the Club.

It also provides our team the opportunity to share their skillset and experience and develop these further as they supervise these placements which in turn helps to develop their management and other professional and personal skills.

As an undergraduate studying Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Exeter, I have had the opportunity to gain invaluable work experience within the finance team at Exeter City Football Club. I obtained a detailed insight into not only the financial side of running a football club, but also the importance of all the different aspects working together in order to make sure the club functions both on and off the pitch. The team at Exeter City were very welcoming and it was refreshing working with a group of people who are so committed to the football club, its fans and the wider community!
