We're looking for enthusiastic individuals with an interest in Asian cuisine to join our fast paced Chinese takeaway. Your role starts with mastering the fry section of the kitchen, where we will teach you to prepare from scratch all our bestsellers, from Chicken Balls to Crispy Beef. Once you have proved you have what it takes to consistently produce these items to a top standard, your Wok training begins!
You'll receive tailored one to one training on the job, which will cover every aspect of Chinese wok cooking. Following successful completion of your training, you will have the opportunity to progress into more senior Wok Chef roles, both in house and our restaurant/takeaways in Dawlish.

Your roles and responsibilities:

You will be required to prep and fry the correct amount of stock for each day's service to a high standard. During service you will head the fry section of the kitchen, ensuring that items are being prepared in a timely manner and working with order packers and wok chefs to ensure a smooth operation. It will be your responsibility to monitor stock levels throughout the evening in order to avoid disruptions during service, and ensure that all food being sent from the fry area is to the correct standard.

Stock management forms a key part of this role and it will be your duty to maintain a good level of organization in fry fridges and freezers.

The ideal candidate will:

Have some kitchen experience in a fry or grill chef position
Have the ability to work at a high standard in a fast paced environment
Maintain a high level of personal and professional hygiene
Be an enthusiastic learner with an interest in a career in Chinese cooking

Pay: £8.00-£12.50 per hour
