Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team - for insurance reasons to apply you will need to be age 25 or over. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently to and from our warehouse and our 5 stores in town. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to communicate effectively, flexibility, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service. The Van Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

Duties

Load and unload items, which may involve heavy lifting, ensuring that all goods are secured properly for transport so items are transported without damage
Clear recycled waste from stores to the warehouse
Transport goods from our warehouse to departments
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Skills

Strong ability to drive safely under various conditions while maintaining focus on the road.
Capability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
Excellent communication skills and able to work within a team
A clean and valid driving licence appropriate for operating a van is essential.
